The Video of the Journey to my Ironman, Louisville, Kentucky

I know, I know.. where is my race report... Every day, I think.. I gotta do that.. every day I see someone I haven't seen since before the race, and I say usually the same thing along these lines:

"It was okay, I FINISHED which was my main goal.. hardest part? eh, yeah the swim.. I got sick in the middle of the swim... no.. no.. no there was a sand bar where I could stand briefly and unfortunately got sick .. from what? ahh, nerves, a ton of river water, couple kicks.. and I really thought that brown bride was moving and moving... getting out of the water was the best feeling... the bike? well I forgot to put a pair of socks in that bag, so I had to run out and get a pair out of my other bag... yeah, go bathroom, and I thought, just have fun...waved a lot, smiled more... half way through during my special needs bag pick up, my left cleat broke again... yeah yeah.. again can you believe it... jumped off with the awesome volunteer help, went to the porto-let, jumped back on after about 15 mins of gabbing, and off I went.. saw some awesome fans I couldn't figure out how they got out there, and before I know it 112 was done.. no. no music speaker... got off my bike and thought oh my gosh, here goes a marathon, yes MY FIRST marathon... it was still light out, and I knew I had 8 hours to get across 26.2 miles... just had fun, or tried to.. my friends ran part of the way along the road, yeah I know they are crazy.. but people are awesome.. kept trying to move forward, kept smiling, went to the bathroom a lot in the porto's, and kept saying you can do it.. got to the turn around and thought oh my gosh, why did they put the turn around right where we can see the finish line? okay, one more loop... keep going, and then there it was... the finish.. and I did it.. 14 hours and 33 mins later."

:) here is a video that my younger brother... my side kick made of the weekend.. he was great, and I owe him tons... but really, the pictures say it all.. I promise to put a race report up soon :)
Much love and hugs to all of you.. I am an Ironman :)

I will get there one day.. I just have to pluck up the courage to get swimming and sign up for an IM. Until then I will live vicariously through my training partner, Leslie.
